چکیده

Abstract We present a set of multiwavelength mosaics and photometric catalogs in the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) lensing cluster survey fields. The were built by reprocessing archival data from Complete Hubble Archive for Galaxy Evolution compilation, taken Space Telescope (HST) Reionization Lensing Cluster Survey, And Supernova with Hubble, Frontier Fields. Additionally, we have reconstructed Spitzer Infrared Camera 3.6 4.5 μ m mosaics, utilizing all available IPAC Science Archive/Spitzer Heritage exposures. To alleviate effect blending such crowded region, modeled photometry convolving HST detection image point-spread function using novel golfir software. final contain 218,000 sources, covering combined area 690 arcmin 2 , factor ∼2 improvement over currently existing photometry. A large number detected sources is result sometimes deeper exposures, conjunction optical–near-IR strategy. These will serve as an important tool aiding search submillimeter galaxies future ALMA surveys, well follow-ups dark high- z JWST. Coupled photometry, addition bands allow us to place better constraint on redshifts stellar masses these objects, thus giving opportunity identify high-redshift candidates spectroscopic answer questions regarding Epoch formation first galaxies. catalogs, best-fit physical properties are publicly at https://github.com/dawn-cph/alcs-clusters .

Spitzer Massive Lensing Cluster Survey

We are currently undertaking a Spitzer GTO program to image ∼ 30 massive lensing clusters at moderate redshift with both IRAC and MIPS. By taking advantage of the gravitatinoal lensing power of these clusters, we will study the population of faint galaxies that are below the nominal Spitzer detection limits. Here, we present a few examples of our science programs.

A Hubble Space Telescope Lensing Survey of X-ray Luminous Galaxy Clusters: II. A Search for Gravitationally Lensed EROs

We present the results of a survey for Extremely Red Objects (EROs) undertaken in the fields of ten massive galaxy cluster lenses at z ∼ 0.2, combining sensitive, high-resolution Hubble Space Telescope imaging with deep, half-arcsecond K–band imaging from UKIRT. We detect 60 EROs with (R − K) ≥ 5.3, of which 26 have (R − K) ≥ 6.0 in a total image plane survey area of 49 arcmin down to K = 20.6,...

A Hubble Space Telescope Survey of X-ray Luminous Galaxy Clusters: Gravitationally Lensed Arcs and EROs

We are conducting a systematic lensing survey of X-ray luminous galaxy clusters at z ∼ 0.2 using the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) and large ground-based telescopes. We summarize initial results from our survey, including a measurement of the inner slope of the mass profile of A 383, and a search for gravitationally lensed Extremely Red Objects.

Supernovae in Deep Hubble Space Telescope Galaxy Cluster Fields: Cluster Rates and Field Counts

We have searched for high-redshift supernova (SN) candidates in multiple deep Hubble Space Telescope (HST) archival images of nine galaxy-cluster fields. We detect six apparent SNe, with 21.6 ≤ I814 ≤ 28.4 mag. There is roughly 1 SN per deep (I814 > 26 mag), doubly-imaged, WFPC2 cluster field. Two SNe are associated with cluster galaxies (at redshifts z = 0.18 and z = 0.83), three are probably ...

Microvariability survey with the Hubble Space Telescope Fine Guidance Sensors

The suitability of theHubble Space Telescope (HST) Fine Guidance Sensors (FGS) for a magnitude limited survey of microvariability among guide stars is investigated. The linearity, relative sensitivity, and dead-time constants of the three FGSs are determined, and the photon noise limitation of the FGS photometry is confirmed. The noise spectrum is found to be “white” and a procedure is describe...
